Wanda Gomez Wanda Gomez

Wanda Gomez became involved in Taekwondo during the summer of 2004. Focused on the motto, "A family that kicks together - sticks together", she supports her grandchildren in the sport by training and competing with them. In her first tournament, she placed third in the one-step category and since has been excelling at the sport. In 2005, she earned the State Championship in sparring, a feat she transformed into Triple Crown titles in 2006 and 2007, adding first-place finishes in the form and weapons categories. Taekwondo has brought her closer to her family, bettered her health and given her a new source of self-confidence. She enjoys training and focuses her instruction by her positive attitude that Taekwondo is for everyone (including Grandmas!) Currently a Tiny Tigers instructor at the Sycamore Dairy Location, she plans to continue in Taekwondo by adding a second degree to her belt in May 2007.
